KIO D400

The KIO class D400 manhole cover manufactured by Polieco is a manhole cover in composite material consisting of a square or round lid and non-slip surface.

The D400 models are made by Polieco for installation in gas, aqueduct, sewerage and power networks; furthermore, the KIO manhole cover can be applied to transport and telecommunication systems, wastewater purification and lifting stations and service stations.

The KIO manhole cover used for sewerage networks (clear opening Ø600 mm) is available in 4 versions: with round or square frame or with or without hinge. All models include a stainless steel closing system and a noise proof gasket in SBR or EPDM material.

The KIO D400 manhole cover is ideal as a gully top and to close road manholes: it is installed on carriageways of roads (including pedestrian streets), hard shoulders and parking areas, for all types of road vehicles, as specified in standard EN 124-1.

A further model entails coupling a cast-iron floating frame with a lid made of Kinext composite material to the KIO road manhole cover. This model, mainly used in northern European countries, is suitable to be used as gully tops and covering manholes, since it can be raised and levelled when paving roads, always remaining at the same level as the road surface.
